Fuel for School

‘Back to School’ presents new meal challenges as breakfast is rushed, lunch requires packing (and forethought) and kids are ravenous by the time they get home. It’s important for parents to instill healthy eating habits in their kids without forcing it upon them. There are creative ways to integrate fruits, whole grains, and vitamins into their diet without causing a fuss. From on-the-go smoothies and snack bags to nutritious and yummy after school treats, these recipes are kid tested and mother approved.
Melton stresses that food intake is directly related to brain function, academic performance, and energy levels! So get the kids involved in the kitchen and see the difference!
